Started in 2016 by Nilza Wangmo a Restaurateur based in Ladakh with a fear and doubt  if there would be anyone interested in food that her grandmother and their generation had cooked in the warmth of their kitchens. Could Ladakhi food really be marketed as a cuisine?

“Over the years Ladakhi food has started disappearing from dining tables”, says Nilza who wanted to celebrate it at her restaurant.

The world may be waking up to buckwheat, millet and barley as super grains but that is what Ladakhi homes have always eaten.
