Located at a height of 4,270m and about 6 km from the Kunzum Pass, the surroundings of Chandratal Lake gets covered by multiple feet of snow in winters around its deep azure waters creating a spectacular scene for photographers. There is a special treat in store for campers who chose to stay the night at Chandratal, as they can expect a spectacular view of the milky way in pitch black darkness of the Spiti Valley.
