Suraj Tal or Surya Lake, meaining the ‘Lake of the Sun God’, is a sacred waterbody located very close to the Baralacha Pass in Spiti Valley. The Pass is considering to be a major junction in Spiti Valley as the roads leading towards Spiti, Zanskar, and Ladakh. After a long and arduous trek, travelers can treat themselves to superb views of the lake, its surroundings, and the beautiful nature and some stargazing to top it all off.
