Located just above the ancient Tabo Monastery, the 1000 year-old Tabo Caves are a sight to behold for people who love to explore and venture into the unknown. The caves were created artificially more than a thousand years ago to make assembly halls for the presiding Buddhist monks. The caves are still a constant source of amazement for historians who struggle to understand as to why till this date, monks pray inside caves where the conditions are so cold, harsh and unforgiving.
