A monastery of the Nyingma sect of Tibetan Buddhism, Kungri Gompa is located in the Pin Valley in Spiti National Park. Also regarded as the second oldest monastery built in Spiti, this place of worship has carried an immense importance over the past 700 years of its existence. As an added incentive of visiting this monastery, travelers can see the sword dance by the famous Buzhen people of a Mud village nearby.
